How it works

How a week runs in DayVera

One store, one week, and how each step feeds the next: the schedule you publish is what people clock in against, a covered shift updates it, and the hours add up into each person's pay estimate. Everything below is in the app today.

Screens are illustrations with sample data.

Monday morning

Your stores, this morning.

Open DayVera and see who's on today, what needs a decision, and anything coming due.

Thursday

Build next week and publish it.

Drag shifts onto the week and check staffing against your targets. Your team doesn't see a draft — only the managers who build the schedule do. When you publish, everyone sees their shifts in the app, in the store's own time.

Friday night

A shift gets covered without the texts.

Someone can't make Saturday. They post the shift, a teammate claims it, and you approve it. Time off works the same way, with PTO balances alongside.

Saturday morning

See who's in and who's running late.

Staff clock in from their phone. The store board shows who's running late, and managers get an alert at 30 minutes — and a stronger one if they still haven't shown.

Any day

One message to everyone.

Post an announcement and see how many have read it, or send a team message with a photo and see who's seen it. Owners — and managers, if the owner turns it on — can have a built-in helper polish the wording before sending.

A week ahead

Service and permits, before they're due.

The walk-in freezer's service reminder reaches the role level you picked — managers and up, general managers and up, or owners only — before it's due. Permits and insurance renew on time.

Payday

Hours and tips, added up.

Worked hours, overtime for each company's workweek, tip pooling and bonuses, totalled as an estimate you check against your payroll provider. DayVera doesn't run payroll.

That's the idea: the store's day in one place.

DayVera runs two stores today. We're opening it to other owners a few at a time.
